Formulated for use as a credit card material, CYCLICARD™ is comprised of recycled polyester from industrial and post-consumer sources. CYCLICARD™ is made from non-halogenated materials that can reduce the potential for dioxin-related byproducts during resin manufacturing or high-temp end-of-life treatment scenarios compared with halogenated alternatives. This can help and may lower footprint potential depending on the end-of-life pathway for the card. CYCLICARD™ can also be made from ocean-bound plastics. Using recycled plastics may help divert materials from landfill or incineration depending on recycling infrastructure and supports circular material strategies where collection and recycling pathways exist.
